ANDREW BOLT: RACIST, FASCIST, ISLAMOPHOBE

Andrew Bolt is Australia's most dangerous racist. He is employed by a major Australian regional newspaper and a TV station that broadcasts nationwide in order for him to directly peddle his racist and Islamophobic propaganda. His blog at Rupert Murdoch's Herald-Sun newspaper enjoys the support of a small but dedicated group of like-minded extreme right-wing bigots, rednecks and racists who regularly comment at his blog, and his TV spot is financially supported by various asssorted climate change deniers who have a vested interest in being anti-renewable resources and pro-pollutionist.

Bolt is dangerous because he has a wide audience that his employers see as being gullible to their brand of media propaganda.

This blog aims to expose Bolt for what he really is - a deceitful propagandist intent on dividing Australians by promoting fear and paranoia of multiculturalism. Without the backing of the likes of Murdoch and Gina Rinehart, et al, Bolt is nothing.

AUSTRALIAN 'FACEBOOK' ANTI-RACISTS & MULTICULTURALISTS OVERWHELM AUSTRALIAN 'FACEBOOK' RACISTS

Australian racists recently set up a Facebook site called ‘Dear Boat People, Australia Says, “Fuck Off, We’re Full”’. As of writing this it has 7,132 Australian racists signed up to it. In response to this, however, Australian anti-racists and multiculturalists have set a Facebook site which is called ‘I am Australian and I Would Rather Immigrants Living Here Than Racists’. As of this writing, a very heartening 21,107 Australian anti-racists and multiculturalists had signed up to it and the number is growing by the hour.

Just the title of the racist Facebook site tells you much about the type of ‘Australians’ that these people are – pig ignorant, foul-mouthed and full of hate. The kind of comments that one will find at the Facebook hate site are the same as one will find at Andrew Bolt’s racist hate site at the Herald Sun newspaper. Like Bolt’s racist hate site, the Facebook hate site tends to exclude any dissenters from their commentary.

What the two diametrically opposed Facebook sites do demonstrate however is that the support for asylum seekers, Aboriginal rights and multiculturalism generally is overwhelming and exposes the racists of Australia as a minority extremist group that exists only on the edges of mainstream Australian society, a notion that flies in the face of racist hate sites like Andrew Bolt’s who, together with his tiny flock of racist bloggies, seem to think that, because Bolt is supported by a Murdoch-owned mainstream media newspaper, reflects the views of the majority of Australians. Clearly, it doesn’t!

  2. A good article by Chris of Eurasian-Sensation blog about Bolt's tactics entitled, "How to Use the Media to Incite Racial Hatred":

  3. I would love to see the Racial Vilification Laws used against Andrew Bolt. It would be great to see him in jail for a few years - he can have his rants there! I'm surprised an "ethnic" lawyer hasn't stepped up to pursue him on this matter.

  4. A particular post Andrew Bolt made that made his white nationalist agenda pretty clear was one he posted in 2008 entitled "Europe's changing face". In it he comments, "Different European countries are having differing success in keeping their traditional cultural identity. This may be illustrated by these 2006 pictures of the Italian (top) and French soccer teams", followed by pictures showing Italy's national soccer team (where all the players look like traditional Italians) and France's soccer team nowadays (which is disproportionately black in appearance) and a third picture in black-and-white showing France's soccer team (all white in appearance) from a long time ago.

To Andrew Bolt, race (or "race") and culture are interchangeable, because apparently, one produces the other. This is the thinking of a racist. After all, according to the Britannica Concise Encyclopedia (found on Answers.com), racism is: "...the ideology that humans are divided into separate and exclusive biological entities called 'races', that there is a causal link between inherited physical traits and traits of personality, intellect, morality, and other CULTURAL BEHAVIORAL features..." [My emphasis.] So to racists, cultural integrity is inextricably linked to racial (or "racial") integrity, or "racial purity".

Andrew Bolt's ethnic nationalism is a nationalism that seeks to advance the idea of Australia being a white nation -- in other words, white nationalism -- in order to enjoy success in "keeping their traditional cultural identity", which Bolt explicitly associates with whiteness. (This explains his sympathy for the British National Party.) This effort obviously seeks to displace the civic nationalism currently practiced by Australia, which adopts the notion of jus solis, which holds that those born within Australia (as well as those naturalized) are citizens and members of the nation, regardless of their parents' origin, and so cannot be seen as an existential threat to the integrity of the nation as Bolt obviously does.

Bolt's sympathy for the BNP (the BNP, if Australian, would seek to deport people like Penny Wong, Deni Hines, etc.) illustrated in this post entitled, "Bullies can't beat the BNP"):

  5. Bolt posts what is admittedly a pretty funny video of a US congressman who, if he's not joking, is unbelievably ignorant. Fine, there are plenty of funny videos around, especially those highlighting the ignorance of many Americans.

But then you scroll down and see who sent this video to Bolt. It is Spencer de Vere.

Comments following the first post on this blog showed evidence that Spencer de Vere is an out-and-out racist. So might his sending of this video, featuring an African-American congressman, be for the purposes of advancing his racist agenda and affirming his racist prejudices?

We don't have to wait long to see what appears to be a confirmation of our suspicions. In the comments that follow, Rosemary (the first comment) begins by questioning the congressman's competence to occupy that office, making some harmless comments about the congressman having to be "on some serious ‘ju-ju juice’" or being demented or having been dropped on his head as a child.

Spencer de Vere jumps on this and complains below that: "You’re not supposed to say things like that - ‘cos he’s black."

In other words, if we read between the lines, Spencer is complaining about how such videos and examples cannot be used as a basis for denigrating "blacks" and so forth. You can sense he's pulling at the leash to be let at 'em. But, alas, there's this suffocating "political correctness" in the way, which make it insufferably difficult to ascribe such things as this particular congressman's ignorance to his belonging to what is deemed by the likes of Spencer de Vere as an "inferior 'race'".

Andrew's perfectly happy to continue to have Spencer de Vere contributing to his blog and sending such videos, presumably because of their shared attitudes and agenda. (Perhaps to cover himself a bit, though, Bolt posts an accompanying video of Nancy Pelosi.)

  6. An article in The Age is entitled, "Country 'drifting back to racism'". Hmmm, I wonder if Australia's Most Read White Nationalist has anything to do with that?

  7. "Culture counts in crime", announces Bolt. He is speaking of something called "black culture".

Now, can the abstract noun "culture" be modified by an adjective of color? This smacks of the fallacy of reification. Except when used poetically, can there be such a thing as a green truth, a purple hate, an olive-blue punctuality? I don't think those like Bolt seeking to ascribe crime to "black culture" are speaking poetically. So what on earth are they talking about?

What makes one "white" or "black" in physical appearance? Why, genes, of course! And what is culture? According to Answers.com: "The totality of socially transmitted behavior patterns, arts, beliefs, institutions, and all other products of human work and thought."

And what is racism? According to the Britannica Concise Encyclopedia (also found on Answers.com): "...the ideology that humans are divided into separate and exclusive biological entities called 'races', that there is a causal link between inherited physical traits and traits of personality, intellect, morality, and other CULTURAL BEHAVIORAL features..." [My emphasis.]

So when Bolt speaks of ["black"] culture being responsible for crime, then he means to suggest that there is a causal relationship between "inherited physical traits" and "cultural behavioral" features. Put simply, Andrew Bolt is being racist.

And the worst thing about it is that he is being open about it. And he's not being open about it hidden away in some obscure corner of the Internet. No, he is being open about it right out in full view, in the blazing lights of Australia's biggest-selling newspaper, under the imprimatur of the second-biggest media conglomerate in the world.

He's open in his racism because he is confident he can get away with it. And the worst thing about this is that he's right. Nothing will happen to him.
